Grass Valley Surgery Center (GVSC) was
opened in November 2005 by local surgeons who specialize in
orthopaedic surgery, general surgery, gynecology, urology and
podiatry.
Patients who choose to have surgery in an
ambulatory surgery center (ASC) arrive on the day of their
procedure, have their surgery in a fully equipped operating
room, recover under the care of highly skilled nurses, and
return home on the same day.
Quality
and Safety
Grass Valley Surgery Center (GVSC) is
licensed as an ambulatory surgery center by the State of
California. In addition, the Center is accredited by the
Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).
To receive AAAHC accreditation, a surgery
center must undergo rigorous on-site, peer-based inspection of
its facilities, procedures and services. AAAHC has accredited
over 2,300 ambulatory healthcare facilities in the United
States.
Voluntary AAAHC accreditation is evidence
of GVSC’s commitment to providing the highest quality surgical
care to our community.
